WHO IT'S FOR

Who the Interior Package Suits Best

This is a different package than the exterior, different surfaces, different products, different problems being solved.

Profile 01

Families With Young Kids

Child seats, juice cartons, raisins, the back seat archaeology. Spilled drinks soak straight into uncoated seat fabric and stain permanently within hours. Coated leather wipes clean; protected fabric resists absorption long enough for you to deal with the spill before it sets.

Profile 02

Dog Owners

Wet fur, muddy paws, the occasional drool patch, claws against leather. Coated leather is far more scratch resistant than uncoated, claws still leave marks but they don't penetrate the surface the same way. Treated fabric stops mud and water sinking in, so weekly hoovers actually clean the car.

Profile 03

Lease Drivers (End of Term)

Interior wear is the single biggest reason lease companies deduct end of term charges visible seat staining, scuffed door trims, worn driver bolster, cigarette/food residue. The interior package addresses every one of those, and the timing matters most in the final 6–12 months before hand back.

Profile 04

Premium Leather & Alcantara Owners

Nappa leather, Alcantara trim, Recaro buckets, these surfaces are expensive to refurbish and even more expensive to replace. Ceramic coating prevents UV fade (the #1 reason light leather goes patchy), reduces oil staining from skin contact on bolsters, and stops Alcantara going shiny in high touch areas.

WHAT YOU GET

What's Included in the Interior Package

A full deep clean first, applying ceramic over old grime is pointless and won’t bond. Then ceramic coating onto plastics and leather, fabric protection (a different product) onto seats and carpets. Nine steps total, every one of them necessary.

Step 01

Vehicle Inspection & Interior Assessment

I'll walk through the interior with you, leather condition, fabric staining, problem areas. If anything won't take coating cleanly (cracked leather, deep set in stains), I'll tell you upfront. No surprises.

Step 02

Full Vacuum , Seats, Carpets, Boot, Headlining

Everything that lifts dry. Crevices, under seat tracks, child seat anchor wells, door pockets. Headlining vacuumed too, dust collects there and isn't visible until it's gone.

Step 03

Steam Cleaning on Fabric Seats

Steam clean / hot water extraction lifts ground in dirt, food residue, sweat residue, child seat marks, anything the vacuum can't reach. Fabric protection won't bond properly to dirty fibres, so this is non negotiable on cloth seats.

Step 04

Leather Deep Clean

Dedicated leather cleaner strips old protectants, body oil residue, dyes that have transferred from clothing. Ceramic Coating dosent bond well to dirty leather.

Step 05

Plastics Deep Clean & Dashboard Preperation

Every plastic surface, dashboard, door cards, centre console, transmission tunnel, vents, switches, steering wheel surround, cleaned with non greasy plastic safe products. No shine spray nonsense; just clean surfaces ready to bond.

Step 06

Surface Preperation & Residue Removal

Every surface wiped down with preperation solvent appropriate to the material, different preperation for plastic vs leather. Removes any conditioner residue, polish, silicone or oil that would prevent the ceramic bonding.

Step 07

Ceramic Coating Applied to All Plastics

A plastic specific ceramic coating applied to dashboard, door panels, centre console, all the trim. Creates a hydrophobic layer that resists fingerprints, dust adhesion, and UV driven fading, a known issue on dark plastics in summer.

Step 08

Ceramic Coating Applied to Leather Surfaces

A leathern specific ceramic different chemistry from the plastic version. Protects against UV fade (the cause of most light leather discolouration), body oil staining on bolsters, and the everyday wear that turns light leather grey on driver's seat bolsters within a few years.

Step 09

Fabric Protection on Seats & Carpets

A dedicated fabric protector (not a ceramic, ceramic doesn't work on fabric) sprayed onto cloth seats, carpets, boot lining, fabric door inserts. Creates a hydrophobic barrier that lets you blot spills before they soak in. Honest framing: this is a different chemistry to the ceramic, applied where ceramic doesn't belong.

THE VISIT

What 3–4 Hours Looks Like

Faster than exterior because there’s no paint correction stage, but the deep clean is heavier. Here’s how a typical interior visit plays out.

8:00 AM

Arrival & cabin walkthrough

I arrive at your driveway with the full mobile kit. We walk through the interior together so I can see any problem stains, leather areas needing extra attention, anything you're specifically worried about.

8:15 AM

Full vacuum & interior strip · 45 mins

Floor mats out, seats slid forward/back to reach the tracks, boot cleared. Vacuum everything, seats, carpets, headlining, boot lining, door pockets, child seat anchor wells. Always finds things you didn't know were missing.

9:00 AM

Steam Cleaning on fabric seats · 60 mins

Steam clean / extraction system on every cloth seat and the carpets. Lifts food residue, sweat, drink stains, kids' sticky drinks. Fabric needs to be properly clean and almost dry before protection can bond.

10:00 AM

Leather clean & conditioning · 30 mins

Leather cleaner across every panel, seats, door inserts, steering wheel if leather wrapped, gear knob that too.

10:30 AM

Plastics deep clean · 30 mins

Dashboard, door cards, console, vents, switches, the works. Plastic safe cleaner, no shine spray. Clean surfaces ready to bond.

11:00 AM

Ceramic to plastics + leather · 45 mins

Plastic specific ceramic applied first to dashboard and trim. Leather specific ceramic to all leather. Each ceramic applied panel by panel, allowed to flash off, then levelled cleanly.

11:45 AM

Fabric protection applied · 30 mins

Dedicated fabric protector sprayed across all cloth seats, carpets, fabric door inserts. Different chemistry than the ceramic, built for fibres, not hard surfaces.

12:15 PM

Final inspection & aftercare guide

Walk you through the interior showing the work, hand over the aftercare sheet. Leather and plastics safe to use immediately. Fabric needs to fully dry, best to avoid sitting on damp feeling seats until then.

MANCHESTER · WHY CABINS TAKE A BEATING

Why Manchester Cabins Need Protecting

Manchester takeaway culture is hard on car interiors. Late night kebab, curry house pickup, Friday chicken, the food gets eaten in the car more often than people admit, and the residue (oils, sauces, the occasional rice grain) ends up between seat creases and in carpet fibres. Protected fabric lets you blot a sauce drop instead of having it soak through; coated leather wipes clean before staining sets in.

School runs and family cars across the suburbs. Heaton Moor, Bramhall, Worsley, Eccles, Sale,  the family car gets serious miles on it doing school runs, ballet drop offs, weekend trips to Cheshire Oaks. Kids in the back means food, drinks, mud from boots, the lot. The interior package buys you back the easy to clean cabin you had when the car was new.

Wet Manchester weather drags mud and salt into every cabin. Winter feet, dog paws after the Peak District, gritty roads in February, it all ends up on the carpets and seat backs. Treated fabric beads water; coated plastic on the door sills doesn’t accumulate salt residue. The interior protection means you can spot clean instead of having to deep clean every spring.

Long M60/M62 commutes mean coffee, food and time in the seat. Sales reps, fleet drivers, anyone living in their car for work, the driver’s seat bolster wears, the cup holder area collects coffee residue, the seat fabric gets the same daily friction for hours. Both the leather ceramic and the fabric protection extend the time before this becomes visible.

INTERIOR FAQ

Common Questions About Interior Coating

Yes, but using different products on each. Plastics and leather get a real ceramic coating (silica-based). Fabric gets a dedicated fabric protector, ceramic doesn’t bond properly to woven fibres and most ‘ceramic for fabric’ claims are marketing. The fabric protector is purpose built for textiles and creates a hydrophobic barrier that lets you blot spills before they soak in.

Honest answer: interior wear is driven almost entirely by how the cabin gets used. A family car with three kids under 7 wears at a completely different rate to a one driver commuter car. Trying to administer a warranty fairly across that range is impossible. Instead I price the package realistically and tell you upfront what to expect, the protection extends the interiors good condition by a meaningful amount, but heavy use will eventually wear it down. The exterior coatings come with proper warranties because road conditions are more predictable.

Realistically, the ceramic on plastics holds up for 3–5 years on most cars. Leather ceramic is the same range, sometimes shorter on driver’s seats with heavy use. Fabric protection is the shortest lived, typically 12–18 months on cloth seats, faster on high wear areas. The package can be refreshed annually if you want the protection topped up  drop me a message and I’ll quote for a refresh visit.

Leather feels slightly smoother, almost imperceptible to most people, noticeable if you spend a lot of time stroking the dashboard. No glossy or plasticky finish; the coating is engineered to remain visually identical. Alcantara is trickier, it can be coated lightly but won’t accept the same product as leather. I assess each car and tell you whether your Alcantara is suitable.

No, properly applied, the coating doesn’t change the colour at all. The reason some interior coatings darken light leather is poor prep: residue from old conditioners reacting with the new product. The deep clean stage in this package strips all that out before the ceramic goes on, so the leather looks exactly the same the moment it’s done.

Often yes, the interior is 3–4 hours, exterior is 5–7 hours, so a combined day comes in around 8–10 hours which usually means an early start at your driveway. Some cars I’ll split across two visits if the cure windows would overlap awkwardly. For a 10 year + interior combo on a premium car, I usually recommend two visits a day or two apart so both coatings cure undisturbed. Just mention you want both when you enquire and I’ll plan it.

The protection makes future cleaning much easier, vacuum gets more hair out, drying spills don’t set in, wet mud doesn’t soak through. But it doesn’t fix damage that’s already there. If your leather already has visible scratches, fading, dye transfer or cracking, those need addressing separately (leather repair or recolouring) before coating makes sense. I’ll tell you straight at the quote stage whether the interior is in a state where the coating is worth the spend.
